Six thousand square feet, finished in 2025, on a steep waterfront lot on Peninsula Lake that most builders would have talked the owner out of.

The slope on this site was severe enough to limit access for equipment and materials for most of the build. Every stage that would be routine on a flat lot, foundation, framing, getting finishes up the hill, had to be solved for here first, in the order the grade allowed rather than the order that would have been easiest.
The payoff for building into that slope is the view. The site drops away toward Peninsula Lake fast enough that the main living spaces sit up and over the water rather than beside it, which is not something you get on an easier lot. A glass-walled great room faces the lake directly, and a cedar sauna sits off the living space, taking advantage of a site most builders would have priced themselves out of.
We do not shortcut a difficult site to hit a schedule. This one took the care it needed.
Fuller built my dream cottage on Peninsula Lake, with great attention to detail for every design aspect we asked for. The site was super challenging with steep slopes and limited access but Fuller made it work exactly as imagined.
